It was over 5 years ago when Bobbi was sitting in her church when our VP of Development, Laurie Jeselsohn, got up and shared about Hope. She mentioned the need for volunteers. At the time, Bobbi had been praying about a place to volunteer.
Bobbi completed the requirements to become a volunteer and eventually ended up working side by side with our staff.
Not long after volunteering at Hope, Bobbi went out to dinner with a friend. While at dinner, this friend told her that her 10-year-old son would not be here if it had not been for Hope Women’s Centers. Since she had aborted twice already, she thought about aborting him too, but she decided to carry and parent after visiting Hope. Bobbi said she’d known the boy since he was two.
Bobbi says about the patients she serves is,
“they often come in scared and quiet and by the time they leave, I’ve heard about their lives. Sometimes we are both in tears or share a hug and a prayer.”
Bobbi also told us about her experience with the staff,
“I love the women who work at the North Lauderdale Center. They have prayed with and for me. They always celebrate my birthday and make everyone feel special.”
We could not have the impact we have without volunteers like Bobbi, who are a dynamic service to Hope and to those patients they see! Bobbi is always willing to help and does just as many tasks as the staff. Our Center Director said that Bobbi volunteers faithfully one day a week. She is a wonderful person and she has been volunteering here for 5 years this month!
