Love Helped Me to Choose Life

Updated: Apr 21, 2023

Previous patients Natasha and Gregory recently brought baby Kayla with them when they came back to Hope to introduce us to their daughter. They gave us permission to share their story because they hope it will help others processing what to do in an unplanned pregnancy and will encourage those that give to the work of Hope Women’s Centers that their time and donations really matter.

Natasha shared:

I felt very nervous and excited at the same time. A part of me just couldn’t believe the test results. I thought that to be a good mother, I would provide my child’s every need and when I found out I was pregnant, I wasn’t sure I could provide what my child needed and therefore I was not going to be a good mother. My visit to Hope Women’s Centers heavily influenced my decision to have my baby. The staff at Hope was very helpful. They helped me with literally everything. They made me feel comfortable and more motivated and they also helped me to see that I would be a good parent. “Love,” helped me to choose life. Love comes in all shapes and forms. Having love makes life move a little more easy.
At Hope they are really helpful. I’m really glad I was able to get help from them. Hope is truly a blessing.

We love when our patients come back for a visit and we love when they bring their babies that we first saw on the ultrasound screen in our centers. We have the ability to speak life into the women and men that come into our centers, providing them with needed resources, answers to their questions, and helping them to realize and achieve personal goals.

Most often, patients tell us that it was time spent with their patient advocate (before their ultrasound) that was their favorite part. This is because many of our patients have very few people around them believing in them and helping to speak life in their hearts and souls. In the counseling room, despair and crisis often turns to hope and empowerment. Our male and female volunteers have the opportunity to experience stories like Natasha and Gregory’s everyday. In a given year, we see approximately 5,000-6,500 patients visits. Every patient has a unique story, a unique concern, and a unique way to offer hope and share truth.

We are looking for men and women who want to volunteer in our medical centers. More information about volunteering by clicking HERE.
